Athlete of the Month – Becca Whiteman

When did you join CFU, and what made you walk in those doors?
I joined CFU Nov. 2017. I was grossly overweight and ready for a change. 

Do you remember your first WOD? Or your thoughts during that first WOD?
The WOD had some burpees and Turkish getups. I thought…Lord, please don’t let me puke, that would be embarrassing. 

What’s your favorite thing about CrossFit?
It truly helps me get out of my own way and feel accomplished for the start of the day. 

What type of workout do you enjoy doing the most? 
Anything with the barbell, rowing & wall balls.

What’s one goal you have for the year?
Complete the 75hard program & start listening to my body more.

What would you tell anyone looking to walk into CFU for the first time?
It’s gonna suck at first then the magic happens, keep showing up no matter what.

What’s your greatest achievement, or what are you most proud of thus far?
Making the decision to do the 75hard mental toughness program where I do the following for 75 days:
1. 45 min workout
2. Another 45 min workout (must be outside)
3. Read 10 pages (must be nonfiction/personal development  book)
4. Drink 1 gallon of water a day
5. Take a progress picture everyday 
6. Follow a diet 
*no alcohol
I’m so close to completing it and I’m super proud of myself.

1) What would be be called? This is my jam 

2) What would it be? Something with power cleans & rowing
